Editorial Standards
These are the standards we hold our coverage to. They exist so that what you read on Next Rewind is recommended on its merits — not on what's paying best this month.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made independently of commercial relationships. Brands cannot pay to be featured. Affiliate partners do not see, edit, or influence coverage before it runs.
If a piece is the result of a brand partnership or sponsored arrangement, it will be labeled clearly at the top of the post. We have no obligation to publish anything we don't believe in, regardless of relationship.
How we evaluate products
Every product post answers the same three questions: is this object available in the form we're recommending; is it likely to age well over the next five to ten years; is the price justified by what the object is. If the answer to any of those is no, the post doesn't run.
We do not, as a rule, accept review units we cannot return. Where a brand sends an object for evaluation, we either send it back or pay full price. Items we keep are disclosed in the post.
Pricing and availability
Every price on the site is labeled with the date it was accurate as of. We update pricing on a rolling basis but cannot guarantee real-time accuracy — retailers move prices on their own schedules. The labeled date is the source of truth for when we last verified.
For Amazon-sold products, prices are pulled via the Amazon Creators API and rendered in compliance with Associates program requirements.
AI-assisted writing
Some article components are drafted with the help of large language models. Every line that runs on Next Rewind is reviewed, edited, and signed off by a human editor. Brand history and product-context blocks may begin as AI-generated drafts; they do not run as AI-generated text. The voice, the bets, the picks — those are ours.
Corrections
If we get something factually wrong, we correct it and note the correction at the bottom of the post. If a recommendation has changed materially — a product has been reformulated, a brand has been acquired, a price tier has shifted — we update the post and note the change.
